Abstract

A feeding trial was conducted on eighteen Murrah buffalo calves (6–9 months) to evaluate the effect of strategic nutrient supplementation on growth performance. Animals were divided into three groups: a control group and two treatment groups supplemented with macro- and micronutrients.

The results indicated that supplemented groups had significantly higher dry matter intake, improved average daily gain, and better feed conversion efficiency compared to the control.

This study suggests that strategic nutrient supplementation enhances feed utilization and growth in Murrah buffalo calves, highlighting its potential application in livestock production systems.
