Abstract: The study evaluates Aspergilli strains isolated from Indian agricultural soils for biodegradation of methyl-parathion. Results show Aspergillus niger produced highest methyl-parathion hydrolase (MPH) activity and rapidly transformed methyl-parathion to p-nitrophenol and further metabolites, indicating strong potential for bioremediation applications.
A feeding trial on eighteen Murrah buffalo calves (6–9 months) evaluated strategic macro- and micronutrient supplementation over 90 days. Treatment groups receiving tailored supplements showed higher dry-matter intake, significantly greater average daily gain, and improved feed conversion compared to the control, indicating that strategic supplementation enhanced growth performance and feed efficiency.
This study investigates the ability of indigenous fungi isolated from hydrocarbon-contaminated soils in India to degrade petroleum hydrocarbons. Results revealed that strains such as Fusarium, Rhizopus, Trichoderma harzianum, and Aspergillus versicolor showed significant biodegradation efficiency, highlighting their potential role in cost-effective and eco-friendly bioremediation technologies.

This study examines the effect of pH and incubation period on biogas production using university food waste compared with cow dung and sheep waste. Results showed cow dung produced the highest biogas yield (20ml/72hours) followed by sheep manure (15ml/72hours). Alkaline pH and anaerobic dark conditions were found to be optimal for biogas production.
